ROUND 2 UBF. For those not in the know, the goal for Round 2 was "You will be given one part of the token and must collect the other three to make the complete token which will allow you access to the elevator (by giving it to one of the workers at administration). Once you got to the elevator you'll need to fight a double battle against the Castle Brains"
The text at the top is meant to be a flashback a few months before Yaen joined UBF. It's a short conversation between him and his brother Daed (mentioned in Round 1). All of Yaen's Unova pokemon were given to him by his brother.
I haven't had a chance to really show it yet, but each of Yaen's pokemon mirror a different fault that he himself has. Prophet is stubborn, Hogarth is lazy, Lucy is selfish, Samson is insecure, Ares can be under-handed at times (instructing the others to resort to theft to get the tokens) and Derren... okay, Derren's just crazy.
Basic run down of the moves: Lucy uses Hurricane to send Sarah flying (HURR HURR) Derren uses Hypnosis to snag a token from a sleeping Leo
Shroom starts with Venoshock Prophet dodges with Substitute and follows up with Brick Break Shroom unleashes a bunch of Energy Balls and one nasty Dynamic Punch Prophet blocks and then attacks using Rock Slide
How do this comic battles work in these tournaments? Do you just pick an opponent and start off your comic however you wish? or do you work with them and agree on who will win/loose a match? I love your style for this comic xD
The admins running the tournament give you the stipulations for the round (ex. double battle, weather conditions, your opponent, etc), and then you draw out your half. You don't need to communicate with your opponent, since only one of you is going to advance. In the end, only one person will win the tournament so their comics would be considered "canon".
Although, in UBF, it's a little different since they determine who advances through the rounds based on points, rather than the usual elimination style.
I've been on their areas UBF, Big Sky etc... I dont see a directions list that explain that..... I admit I am a noob to the set up of these events. Thank you though!
I like how Yaen's team are sharing roles to get all the tokens at the same time, they're quite independent and don't have to always relies on their trainer! The battle scenes are also very nicely-drawn too <3

Awesome style and dynamics~
