FAQ: Q. Are backgrounds required? A. No. As it says in the guidelines, you don't have to create a background. You can leave it blank/transparent, keep it simple, or go all out and paint a massive scene. But if you do include one, we will consider it in the judging process.
Q: Why was I rejected? My art is way better than what's in the gallery! A: We have since instituted a different structure/gallery standards. You are not being compared to what's in the gallery, you are being judged on the NEW CRITIERIA as laid out in the above guidelines.
Q. What are your feelings on watermarks? A. If the watermark is overly large or distracting from the piece, then we won't accept it.
I didn't know you were an admin from PD. That is nice^^ I am aiming to learn everything is possible in the art world, of course it would take me like five lives to do that, but I'll try my best. I'll use your group guidelines to create a piece, tehn I will post on dA and send to you guys. It will be like a test for me, I am glad there is such a group on dA where I can test my illustration skills.
I have to say... not that I want to squash artists starting out, but as a watcher of this group, I appreciate that it has some standards. I'd... just rather look at nice things.
I think I will give this piece as much exposure as possible.
We look forward to it!
